I cant remember where but I saw a video (on here i think) of these lads showing how quick they could cut the chain, longest was like 1minuet so not very long, anyway know that wasn't to much help to your question but personally I use a disc lock and a cyclone alarm ____________________ Previous Bikes --> Generic Trigger 50cc (Chinese, Write off) --> Peugeot XR6 50cc (Sold)

What you have to bear in mind with all the lockpicking videos, is that it's their lock, they know that lock, they'll have picked it many times before to hone their skills, they know that particular lock's binding order and internal feel/behaviour etc. (Each lock is different).
So yes they can pick a Squire in a minute or so, but if you plonked YOUR Squire lock on their table, it'd take them longer than that, it would take them far longer to pick it than it would to cut it off, and requires much more skill too. A noob can't just turn up with a lockpick and expect to be successful against high security locks (cheapie padlocks, say for a shed etc, on the other hand = really are easy!)
The Abloy is the better lock but Squire is still pretty decent. I have a Squire and feel no need to upgrade to an Abloy, as any successful attack the Squire is likely to face would also defeat the Abloy I feel. |

Bikes are stolen by bipedal rat-men, not Raffles the Gentleman Thief.
Tests of a pikey going monkey-mental on them with a sledge would be more relevant than lockpicking. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
