Its a band of power. As in between certain RPM your bike has peak power.

Hi

Just the rev range (band) where the engine is working best and producing most power. Basically any engine in a fairly high state of tune will work best over a small rev range, due to the way that the gases are drawn through the engine.

Two stroke engines tend to have the power come in quite suddenly.
