I hit two pheasants 19 miles apart today. The first one hit my right leg and the 2nd I killed for sure because I ran over it with both wheels at 65mph.

The first shit me up but the 2nd scared the fuck out of me to the point where I had to pull over and take a breather. I felt the crunch under my back wheel.

Strange thing is that I didn't even nearly come off, I just felt the bumps but I still hated every single moment.

isn't the rule you can't claim your roadkill for food, but the first person following you can? Thinking

I've heard this too, but does anyone know the actual law in question? Would be interesting to see how it's worded.

That rule mostly applies to game birds like pheasants and grouses.

If you kill it and take it away it's considered poaching, however if the next man takes it's roadkill so he can have it for free.

Absolutely stupid law, like anyone is going to pay any attention if you stop to pick up a dead bird.

Yes, as mentioned I've heard this too. But is it true?
