Bloody nora! Shocked I paid Carol Nash £170 last year for FC with zero NCB. This year I can get FC for £94 or £58 TPFT, both from Bennets (both with £250 excess).

PENNIES! Laughing

Carole Nash just quoted me £1800 for fully copy. £700 total excess (250 volun). I have 3 years NCB. No previous claims or convictions in 5 years. 30 years old, employed and live in a good area. 600RR. Usually quoted around £400 Mental.

How the fuck do you get that? I'm 56, 15+ years no claim and the best I can get on my Tiger is £245. that's garaged as well. OK in an E area but even so.

Maybe you're too honest Wink

I just renewed mine, it's a 125 but I've actually had cheaper quotes for bigger bikes. Mine was £190 last year, up from £127 the year before but I moved to a high risk area, this years renewal came in at a whopping £240 tpft. Shopped qround and found quotes at £170 tpft and decided since the insurers keep lying on their policies I'd lie about a couple of things, changed my residance from rented to homeowner and my occupation from mechanic to wooden toy maker, new quotes, £150 fully comp, £124 tpft and £132 tpo (fuck knows how that bit works). Why the fuck should we pay over the odds because of our occupation or because we rent a house

That's bang on what I paid for my old FZR1000 at 21 years old. Until I got side swiped. Ah well, at least it happened once in my life, cheap insurance that is. I'll never see sub £200 again.

I can only think it's down to the bike. Some bikes, it would seem, don't get crashed much. I don't know why the ZRX is low on that rating but maybe it really is a prime choice of safety-nazi old dodderers and those who 'soup them up' and go tear-arsing around are a tiny minority. Confused

I'm in an A area, garaged but zero security on the bike.

My quotes for this year for the ST is about £95fc also, it is garaged but has no security. Looks like you're doing it wrong. Wink

Well, I reckon that £270 for two 650s in a postcode that is listed as 'F*' isn't too bad. From what I remember, the * implies that motorcycles have to be garaged.

You can with ebike. My latest renewal is £73 TPFT - woop!

(makes a nice chance from the £1800 per year I was paying ten years ago)
