Adding my bike to M&S Home Insurance makes the quote go up more than £800. Evans Cycles Insurance want about 10% of the value of the bikes. Shocked

I very much hope that it's possible to insure expensive mountain bikes for less than I've so far been quoted. So does BCF have any recommendations for cycle insurance?

I used to use E&L (I think that's what they're called) - for a £2000 pushbike they wanted ~£120, or thereabouts. This was some years ago, but it might be worth checking them out.

Their website says no.

"The sum insured of your policy (replacement price plus the sum total of your accessories) must be between £100 and £5,000"
