I just got quoted £2000 on a DR125SM SDPC but £1000ish FC

I don't commute on the bike at the moment due to space issues at my new place.

That said I work in a place, where I could be working or just visiting.

SDPC for me. They wriggle out of claims at the best of times so I'm not giving them a bonafide reason to. Otherwise I'd just insure TP only and "self insure" against theft or bike-bowling.

Shop around.

SDPC for me looking at about £200 for the CBR600 and NC35 on a multibike policy.

why is your insurance on a 125 that high? is that fully comp?

Lol, the suzuki DR is a terrible bike...

It looks like it can go off road even though it cant. Its actually slower flat out than a YBR. Doesnt look all that great, sounds terrible, realy overpriced.

Honestly wouldnt bother, for those premiums i'd be wanting this;

Top end rebuild every 5,000 miles is a bit ghey, but ffs LOOK AT IT!!

They do make a 4t version.

Or consider ye olde DT125 in supermoto trim? More reliable, a bit slower than the husky...but twas my 2nd choice.

I actually vewed a derbi senda DRD pro knowing i needed a 4t engine...but it'd been badly mistreated & was well overpriced. Real nice looking though;

And then did the sensible thing & bought a mint six month old YBR with 3k on the clock & a full factory warranty for less than half the price of the first two, and £300 cheaper than the used derbi...havent regretted it tbh. Passed test & insured a GS500 for £400, now with my 1yrs NCB about to insure a bandit 600 for £270.

But definately, dont go for the suzuki. Have seen em overtaken by de-restricted mopeds.

Got to add business to mine in the next couple of weeks, can't wait for the admin fees on that one Although, new work really should pay for that thinking about it...
