Anyone ridden these two?

Always wanted one since I started riding but the only thing I'm thinking is I will miss the mid range of the street triple a lot. Is it that much of a difference? Again most of my riding is town stuff with weekend B roads, although I haven't been riding a lot lately because of work!

17k red line sounds nice though Mr. Green

Seeing as you never got on with the B1H, I think you should stay with the street triple. The R6 is more revvy, less mid range and more extreme riding position.

If you want a sports bike the gixxers are the most comfortable of the lot.

R6s are all up top in comparison. Fun when you're on it, annoying when you're not. What about a Daytona? You like the engine, but do you actually like sportsbikes?

I think you need to think about why you're hankering after an R6 when you've got what sounds like a very good bike for your riding.

Comfort isn't really a problem, as far as I can remember I got used to the riding position of the B1H. But you are right, I didn't like the lack of mid range compared to the Monster at that time and I guess the B1H had more mid than the R6?? Ah well never mind I will continue playing the trumpet Laughing

Last time I rode an R6 was at least six years ago and it was a revvy little nutjob, all top-end madness. I rode the Street-Triple end of last year and actually thought it was the Speed* (1050cc). A very impressive machine.

* I was moving a bunch of bikes between shops for a dealer.
