I've noticed that when I ride at speeds in excess of 50-ish on dual carriage ways or motorways, I get a spray of water from somewhere on my offside mirror. Where's it coming from? Any ideas? It doesn't seem to happen at lower speeds? Thanks

It's when you've left your bike in the rain. The water gets in there, and when you accelerate, the g-force causes it to exit.

That's a possibility but it only happens on the offside mirror. Also I keep the bike covered when I don't use it. I'll see if it happens again tomorrow. Thanks

This is what happens with mine, I get the same thing, water spraying out of it for the first part of the ride. Doesn't even drip when stood still, but starts to fly out once I'm going.

It's a vacuum causing it.

Drill a 2mm hole in the base of the mirror housing , I had the same problem.

Doesn't really bother me, I consider it a water feature on the bike.

After land rovers success with water cooled tail lights, some other manufacturers decided to water cool other random parts, both should be issuing water, if not overheating may occur.

Went out today on M3 and around Surrey and no water on my mirror. So whatever it was, it didn't happen today.

It heard you were looking and hid.
