Just bought a 2006 cbf600 and the seat seems very slippery. I wear RST textile pants with a couple of patch things on the arse for grip but am slipping all over the place

Is there an easy way of sorting this? Something to spray on the seat etc

Got a dark seat? Wrap a grip mat over it. Don't buy the expensive stuff, you can get it cheap in Poundland and Wilkinsons.

Linky to overpriced version of what I am talking about : https://www.powertoolworld.co.uk/draper-300mm-1820mm-roll-of-non-slip-grip-mat-54672.html?gclid=CJipieTvurUCFZDKtAodjzcADw

It's probably Polish if it was 'tarted up' for sale.
Some prick has polished the seat. Smile

You could try cleaning using petrol or even washing powder solution.

They dry it.

I'd be careful about using such powerful solvents on anything that isn't metal!

Soap and water?

Just put up with if for a bit, it'll sort itself out. As someone else said, it'll have been sprayed with something to make it look shiny, clean an new.
