Seen this picture today.which has caused a lot of
banter with regards to are they real or not? I think there not
They are on a merry ground but were/are the actually real bikes Thumbs Up

they're not riding them under their own power, look under the bikes, there's a metal bar holding them together.

No idea if that turns them and so the wheels roll as though they are racing or if the platform they're on is turning modern merry go round style.

Lol wanted to know if the actual bikes were real before the fitment to the merry go round Thumbs Up they look to have boxer type engines in them Very Happy

Never seen any pictures of "old" mini bikes in use to suggest they were made in any numbers but I have seen a fair few of the single bike type kiddies ride-on machines at arcades and the like over the years that looked to all intents and purposes a proper scaled down bike. Whether some proper bike companies made them as replicas of real machines for the machine builders or whatever I don't know.

Very impressive attention to detail if they are mock ups. I would guess they are real bikes solely from that point of view.

You can see hoses/cable running down to the engine which looks very much like an old Beemer boxer engine. The bars have levers, the front brakes look like actual drum brakes. A lot of effort for a mockup.

I reckon those bikes could run at some time.
