What's with all the IOM stuff, minus the TT and MGP?

Well, it's quiet (and cheap) this time of year. The weather was good. It's a very interesting place. And (in many places) there is no speed limit.

So, why wouldn't you go?

Honda CBX looked tidy Thumbs Up Many of those bikes are the sort I like to look at, but wouldn't want to own and run myself, like the Laverda and that Ducati.

No pics, but took the Enfield out last night to go and see a car purchase in Witham. Was rushed for time on the way so used the A13, A130 and A12. Really isn't Enfield territory but it coped fine with it, sitting at a steady 65 ish indicated it was still going past people - why does anyone sit at less than 60 on a dual carriageway anyhow?!

Got up to the high street and stopped to consult maps when an old guy comes strolling purposefully across the road to chat. An Enfield! Lovely Colour! The conversation went to his bike, him having had the same BSA for over 40 years but he's not able to ride it any more and it's one of his biggest disappointments in getting old.

That's the 4th time since buying it in April ish that someone's approached me to chat about it. They really do engender good will from people.

Didn't notice any particular trend - one that stood out was an M3 with a BM related private plate dawdling along at 55.

I'd rather walk.

Took the kinda scenic route home today from an appointment. Grey and bland everywhere, but nice to be out on the bike again.

Popped out for the afternoon again, making the most of dry roads.

After exploring some more back roads, I went through Corhampton. They seemed to be having a month long scarecrow 'festival'. Varying from funny to mildly creepy to spine-chillingly sinister.

Grey weather, but quieter roads made for a more spirited ride out.

Thumbs Up

Bimble out today before the rain came in, nothing to exciting.

Was going to take a corny picture at a sweetcorn field, but decided against it.
