Well, I thought I'd show Santa how it's done !! 😂😂. No photos, partly due to time constraints, and partly due to the weather, however a 392 mile trip yesterday on the Interceptor, from Wolves to Wolves, via Doncaster, Wakefield, Moston, Oldham, Skelmersdale, Bispham !!. Managed to avoid any rain, until on the way back, so, the last 90 miles or so were in the rain !! Still an enjoyable ride out, and the bike, behaved impeccably, tyres gripped well, not matter the conditions. here's a screenshot of the rough route, actually covered more miles than on the screenshot! Alas, the bike needs a good clean today !!

Yeah I know, but, it was pretty tight time wise, so, that's where motorways come into their own, left home at 09:40, got back at 23:30 !!. I nearly went across the snake pass, but, I could see the cloud just sitting on the tops there, so, just decided to carry onto the M62. The ride was pleasant enough, and to be fair, I quite like the run across the tops on the M62, by the time I was coming home, it was pitch black, never mind the rain. I had intended to stop at Knutsford for a break, but, it was raining so I just thought sod it, and carried on down to Wolves, so, 110/120 miles non stop, of which about 90 were in the rain, ride home from Bispham !! Apart from the rain, it was a reasonably pleasant ride out, the weather is pretty mild at the mo, so it wasn't really cold. 👍😁

A nice wander up some backroads on Eclusham mountain, in actual Welsh sunshine, then went for a walk to the top of the mountain.

Confounding.

I'd way rather ride for half as long on decent local b-roads.

I've done about 5k motorway miles by bike this year and the best I can say about them is they weren't quite as boring as if I'd done them in the car.

Took the work hack out to give it a longer run for a change. Ponderosa wasn't as busy as I thought it would be, given it was nice and sunny. just a local run, about 30 miles. Quite liked this Guzzi that was parked up there.

Is anyone still here?

Long time. Stuff happened in my life. Nearly ended up a pleegie; but now I'm just a mini raspberry-ripple.

Just going to dump all of the 'activity' of the last 18 months or so in one post (as long as it'll all fit); so going against the 'where have you been today' bit but whatever eh.

Did an Andalusia tour on Enfields:

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48354384487_2712f9ab8e_b.jpg

On the way up to the top of Sierra Nevada:
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48354383692_f80eed3a0f_b.jpg

At the top - blinking freezing:
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48354382747_043882f9fb_b.jpg[/url]

Coming back down
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48354382232_24eeb27de1_b.jpg

Stunning scenery
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48354252001_d21a370eaf_b.jpg

And a go on the new 650 Interceptor:

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48354379032_fbbf6f915c_b.jpg

The road from Cadier was fabulous and this thing really had me grinning.

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48354378192_413e563e43_b.jpg

Fabulous bike the Interceptor. It sounds great, revs out cleanly with smooth power and torque, good chassis, decent enough brakes, looks outstanding and rides really nicely. If anything, my only criticism of it is that it's not very Royal Enfield like; it just feels like a new bike. But for the cash, anyone that's buying a CB500 over one of these is an absolute tool.

Also went to Norfolk on the KTM, but I haven't got any pics of that other than these ones I've rescued from Facebook as I lost my phone in France and hadn't back any of my stuff up.

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48354331641_f1e6d81739_b.jpg

Then decided to get me some sunshine to top up my lovely pale skin's tan. Off to Kefalonia where the scenery is stunning and the beer is served in ice cold glasses.

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48732483057_c33a32d01b_b.jpg

And then hired this little bad boy Laughing

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48732305106_8f074e2153_b.jpg

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48731979548_e3ecc9d65b_b.jpg

I named him Slightly Miffed Kenneth. My last one out here was Sad Ken but he was a 125 - this one had a bit more poke hence he wasn't quite so sad, and he was a bit more grown up so clearly a Kenneth rather than the more laddy Ken.

Rode it all the way up the top of a 1650m mountain where the views were stunning! Laughing

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48732477827_e56e5b1960_b.jpg

Made a bit of a wrong turn going to a cove and ended up doing a bit of Enduro Shocked

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48732476727_1354e4e148_b.jpg

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48732832112_d0f3b70056_b.jpg

350 miles across the Island to just about all 4 corners and everything in between. It's a stunning place with great mountain roads. Scooters round there are lulzy cos you're just WOT all the time.

And then I've been making a point of getting out a bit more in the local lanes and luckily an old mate of is also into his bikes and comes along quite often, on either his Gixxer 750 or his CB1300. He's got an Aprilia RSV Factory too but I rarely get to see that even if he does bring it along; obvious reasons.

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48732333798_6f337a9dd4_b.jpg

The Enfield had been a bit neglected but I did manage to use it a bit last year. Paid for a Professional to clean my bikes up as I can't bend down very well these days.

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48990825436_8ce123fcf2_c.jpg

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48990273348_8da06bca70_c.jpg

The Enfield came up really well - engine sparkles

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48990273378_7e30744600_c.jpg

And then booked it in for its first ever ticket which it passed no bother, as to be expected:

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49368509512_74ced826b7_c.jpg

And that's about all that's been going on.

Well it's late, but I did the Chilterns for my Sunday ride. On Saturday, Oxfordshire. 110 miles over the weekend. Dips and troughs were icy - bike slid around all over the place, even in a straight line. Fun and memorable rides, though.

Well, not today, but Saturday, I stopped posting on here, as it began to feel only I was posting, anyhow .. On Saturday had a nice little amble, well, there's still the Mash 50 to take into account 😁, up to DK's in Newcastle, although the nippers weren't too impressed with the lack of hot chocolate in the cafe !!. A nice 70 mile saunter, if you are in the market for a 50, I really do recommend the Mash 50. The Keeway, and my ST7 are also lovely bikes to ride as well.

Oh, and Arry's right, the Interceptor is an awsome bike, love mine, over 5000 miles on it now.

Headed to the New Forest, pottered around there for a few hours. Got hungry went to Mudeford for Chips and Seaside, card machine in cafe was broken so I remained hungry.

Bike was great, if I'd spent that many hours on my GSXR I'd be feeling it now. I'm not, surprisingly the Indian fake antique is all day comfy.

Took the Enfield out. Turns out it's quite versatile.

Started off on Tarmac, headed to Devizes for a heart attack breakfast in a roll.

On the way back decided to take the less posh roads,

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49506838272_003c5b55f5_h.jpg

Which quickly got even less posh

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49506838177_32dfb6fe97_h.jpg

Of course the above made muppet here think he was indestructible and that riding up the side of a hill would be a clever thing to do

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49506837727_703ddd020d_h.jpg

As it turned out getting up the hill was actually the easy part, getting down it on road tyres and what felt like the words twitchiest brakes was somewhat harder

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49506109463_3e2e3a65cd_h.jpg

Back on Tarmac

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49506618496_17cecb7847_h.jpg

Until I fancied taking a shortcut, this was a disaster it ended in a dead end, with barely enough room to turn the bike around.

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49506837977_a174420925_h.jpg

Stayed with Tarmac this time all the way home

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49506109608_8889a4cc93_h.jpg

And finished up with 3 hours of cleaning

Managed to get out before dark on a week night, almost unheard of this time of year nowadays.

Didn't get far just the little roads around Everleigh & Netheravon. Thanks to Satnavs though nobody uses these anymore so while the main routes were snarled up with commuters I had nothing but empty tarmac to play on.

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49522348692_e950a8ca99_h.jpg

I was going to take this way home but bottled it this time, those loose rocks are shit to ride on.

Having had my gears ground yesterday with car tyres going pop the silver lining was using the bike. 40 miles through wiltshire in the morning was a bit chilly but by 1145 seeing the sun outside i decided to give myself a POETS day.

Route home doubled from 40 to 80 miles, should make up for Dennis stopping any weekend riding.

Not today, but, yesterday, making the best of the weather was a trip to Wakefield, to pick up another Keeway, that will be making it's way down here towards the end of April, for, now it's tucked up safe and sound at my dad's in Oldham. Most of the 250 mile journey was by motorway, M1 up north, and, M6 back south, but the run across the moors from Wakefield to Oldham was nice, if a little blowy !! Only took a few photos ..

Rode it to Totton and back. Not a scenic spot I'd recommend but the unknown B Roads there have incredibly good tarmac.

I think it maybe the first time I've ridden this bike in almost a year.
