Came home via Aldermaston and B4009 after looking at seaside.

Didn't like borrowed bike for first 20 miles, by the time I'd cleared Milton Keynes and got to Buckingham I was getting used to it, by the time I was riding home today, I quite liked it.

I've just had a couple of days in the Isle of Man and have never ridden in so much rain, even my Held gore tex gloves gave in Shocked

We did some bike swapping so everyone rode everything, the little Versys 650 was good fun and quicker than I thought it would be, sounded good too. Everyone likes the shifter/blipper on the MT

And we did mock the sports bike riders with more chicken strip than KFC, it was funny to see a S1000RR teetering round the corner at the Creg then blasting off on the straight, this was the rear on the little kwaker.

Jacks Hill cafe, to meet up with friends bit of a slog getting there, M1 closed both ways due to an accident, and so it was one long tail back from Milton Keyenes A422 all up the A5 to Towcester, and it rained most of the way there. I was on borrowed GPZ which I'm returning tomorrow, but someone else I know is selling one for £350. Thinking

Filtered all the time, but started getting tired of it tbh, having a pillion didn't help.

Got the CB MOT'd yesterday which was unexpected (didn't expect to have it roadworthy so soon!), felt it would be rude not to take it for a test ride in the sun.

I got a little paranoid of the weeping valve cover and the carbs need balancing so I didn't risk too far or too long (still 65 miles covered...but no ice cream Sad

It's funny as I was growing up at school all my mates would whine about how ugly and boring the north east was but I never felt the same way especially looking at that last shot and others from last week in the Dales.

Local Enfield group run out to RAF Twinwood Farm. Nice bimble through the villages, managed to stay out of the rain, interesting venue. Bike really needs a clean now Smile

So Newcastle motorcycles are havin a bit of a sales drive .. booked my slot and off up I went ..

The DCT is a bit weird .. probably most useful off road .. the sport mode gives better gear changes .. the D mode tends to hang onto the gears too long ..
Urban traffic will be a lot easier with the automatic... not a warp speed bike but the acceleration is more than enough for overtakin cars..
Wind protection is good .. sure how much off roadin it would do with all that plastic.. anyway some jpg.s ... lots of jpg.s Laughing

frankly I dread to think .. and yes I had to sign small print..

I was up & out the seat .. could feel the road tire scrabblin for grip ..
and my arse twitchin...
if It was mine different tyres ;like a cats paw pattern ;would be fitted and probably some metal work.... you know the sort ....

its an in-between sort of bike .. my guess is you would not like it because of its lackin off road capabilities .... but for most it would not be a problem...
