Nine of us rode out into the countryside from Ide Hill near Sevenoaks today.

Shame about the traffic, the mud on the corners and the horrible buzzing in my ears from countless hairdryers (otherwise known as scooters)

So good to be back out riding again properly, not just to commute.

Took a trip to the good old loomies. Then back to Winchester via the 272.

Popped over to Croydon-ish to pick up Deaks then headed down to Wessons Café in Horam for lunch before going to Bexhill for an ice cream on the beach. What a lovely day! I am sunburnt now though.

Had a few hours out and about today, stopped off in a nice shady spot near Toddington for a break and a pic or two.

Sunday was a day out on the SM's again, barely touched a main road all day, 180ish miles.

Today was big bikes day, still ended up on a few goat tracks which my mate on his Speed Triple was not amused with. After that it was Alston, Penrith, Windermere, Kendal, Brough and back. 200ish miles.

Yesterday was just a 250 mile round trip on the ST. Had to get to Luton airport for a set time, so the ride down was motorway, but came back via Dunstable then joined the A5 and followed that all the way to the A449 junction just outside Wolverhampton, before trundling the last few miles home.

First time I've ridden that much of the A5 to the east of Wolves

Yesterday I met up with some friends I hadn’t seen in ages and went to Locksbottom to see the start of the May Day run. We had to ditch one bike on the way as it was in the process of breaking down (not mine for a change!) so ended up with my friends riding two up and me on my own. The perils of having a single seat unit!

Good day, many bikes, bumped into more people I haven’t seen in years. Gotta do more bike meets this year!

Popped up to Craigellachie in the Highlands over the weekend. My first time riding the À93 and A939. Cracking ride. Also my first twisty ride on the new bike (crossrunner). Very comfy and perfectly suited to that mountainous type of road, lots of fun.

I was travelling up for the Speyside Whisky Festival. Craigellachie did a free outdoor tasting and dished out generous drams of their 51y/o (unreleased), 33y/o and 25y/o single malts, very unexpected for free!

All in all a good weekend. Sadly.i forgot my phone charger so only one not so great photo.

On Mayday Monday we met up with one group of friends in Blackfen near to where we live. They were going to ride to a friends house as a tribute,as Steve Cox died of a heart attack a while ago and Mayday always started for that group from his house.

We then met another group of friends at Sidcup Hospital and rode through to Locksbottom,so as to meet up with others who were going to ride down in convoy so that it could be filmed for a documentary

By 1010 hours we made our way onto the A21 to head south, with the Kent Fire and Rescue Fire Bike escorting me on my Exup1000

We rode via the old villages that are now bypassed but back in 1979 the route went down Polhill, through Pembury,Lamberhurst and Robertsbridge. It was a lot quieter in those villages until we rode through...

Once down in Hastings we had preferential parking at 'The Stade' so that more filming could be achieved with the bikes all in one place.

After we had a walkabout we rode to Rye for some decently cooked fish'n'chips and the route via the A259 was a lot less crowded by 1630 hours. The bike park at Rye was still crammed with bikes though

Mrs.Fizzer and I had an enjoyable Mayday Monday marred only by the news of a serious car/bike collision,a stolen bike that was lifted straight into a van and someones vintage goggles lifted from an old boys cork helmet that was left on his very much older classic motorbike Thumbs Down Evil or Very Mad

Just another of my trips out to Skem & back on the TR. Luckily, reasonable weather, still warm enough for the summer gloves, even @06:00 this morning

I'll be on me todd again. Have a bite and cuppa in Keswick, then decide over that probably. S'posed to be a nice day...again Sun Smile

Oh right, yeah, know about that cafe. A6 is a bit of a boring way in for me though. I tend to go in from the north via the A595/591.
