Rear dunlop on my cbr6. I think its done 2000-3000 miles. Its not rubbing on anything and the shiny bits are like new. I cant find the lean angle to use this bit of tire Shocked

Pressure was low at 36psi, should be 42. I know many people have low pressures, never seen this before.

How does it feel to touch?

I'd be tempted to remove it with some fine sandpaper as to my mind shiny is usually slippy.

no Laughing first sunny (cold) day of the year?

it feels how a new tire feels. I could remove it, but Im more interested in correcting what ever is causing that part of the tire to be unused. Perhaps its my riding?

It's your hugger rubbing against the tyre (or something has been caught between the tyre and the swingarm right up at the front.

My VFR did that if I put throwover panniers resting up against the high level exhaust. They pushed the exhaust in just slightly but enough so the strap holding the exhaust to the bracket touched against the hugger when you went over a large bump and pushed it against the tyre. Caused that exact effect. I bent the exhaust bracket out slightly and it stopped.
