It's a disgrace that this was allowed to happen.

He should have been resuscitated and then killed a few more times.

Just the maths bit... How is locking up 2 people for 23 years gonna save the taxpayer over just the one?

if you mean locking up the 2 that did him there already in jail so already costing money
and as its a Cat A prison theres a good chance they are lifers or on a long sentence

him not having to serve 20 years @ £35,000 per year on average is a nice saving

He got 23 years (minimum) for methodically torturing a toddler to death.

Them? I'd hope for 10 years each, concurrent, bit of a Wink from the bench. I can hope.

I doubt it though - premeditated murder and torture whilst in prison, there'll be a message sent out. 20 years on top for each of them, even if they are in for long stretches already they'll likely be costing us as tax payers.

Now if the vile creatures responsible for baby Peters suffering and death could meet a similar end that would be great.

Personally I'm all up for punishment to fit the crime, torture for 1 year so they can experience pain and suffering, left with no way to commit suicide and then executed and the end of the year.

A decent punishment, no costly life long incarceration and 1 less evil shit on this planet, win, win, win.

While I have no problem with killing scumbags, I disagree with torturing them.

Killing them is a-ok in my book as it is simply removing a dangerous element from the world. Much in the same way a biting dog is put down, it's not to make the dog suffer - it's just to remove a danger from the world.

Torturing them though is just base 'revenge' and only causes an increase in the amount of suffering in the world. It's not like they can even "learn" from the "punishment" if they are to be executed soon after torture anyway.

Also consider the legal system isn't perfect and wrongful convictions can and do happen. It's one thing to humanely execute an innocent person, something exponentially worse to "torture for a year" an innocent person.

Exactly, why torture them when you're going to kill them? It's not exactly like they can learn from the lesson.

Do kill them though.

(assuming there not part of it as in this case)
if the scum isn't dead in an hour then shoot then Thumbs Up

The same applies to what he did to that little girl.

I'm sure that he did learn something, just very briefly.

The thought of him being in pain and abject fear makes me content. Sometimes it's best to shush up and let the Old Testament have a say.

Oh noes, but he was just beginning his reformation into a lovely human being

Quote:
As well as putting her in the tumble dryer, Anwar dumped her in the bin as her mother looked on.

The court heard that tiny handprints and bloodstains were found inside cupboards at their home in Huddersfield and at a former property in Batley.

A post-mortem examination revealed her arms and legs were broken and there were 107 injuries across her body, including 36 bruises to her head and neck, 26 to her arms and ten to her abdomen.

Two 'tramline' bruises on her thigh showed where she had been battered with metal poles. And the toddler suffered further agony when aftershave was splashed over her nappy rash and open sores.

Not once did her mother take her to a doctor for treatment.

Eventually their failure to help Sanam killed her. Fat deposits from her broken bones entered the bloodstream and caused her death.

I'm not usually the vindictive type but I can only hope his torment went on for somewhere near as long as that poor little girl's did Hurt

What a terrible waste of life, the bad git should have been kept alive and used for medical research and drug testing for at least 20 years then they could kill him slowly.

Yeah, or just harvest his organs, at least he would have done some good.
