Here's a few pictures of the Thundercat I purchased yesterday for a track bike. At the moment it still had rubbish D204s on it but I should be getting a brand new set of Super Corsas fitted tomorrow.

https://dusty.my-site.me.uk/cat/cat2thumb.jpg https://dusty.my-site.me.uk/cat/cat1thumb.jpg https://dusty.my-site.me.uk/cat/cat3thumb.jpg

Thanks to Scooby.h for the use of his shinny trailer, Bendy for nav and trailer prep and G for taking the Passat into central London. Thumbs Up Laughing

Having now ridden it the only thing that seems dodgy is that it needs a new shock, the rebound damping seems to be completely shot, so I'm kind of hoping to find one tomorrow.

You know what I'm thinking. Wink

By the way, I can get you a new Cat shock at very short notice if I can borrow a big spanner.

Actually those are G's gloves, mine don't match and my boots definitely don't fit in. Plus there is not a shred of carbon fibre etc on that bike. The only mods I really want to do are down gearing and getting a decent set of tyres, you can't call that tarty? Razz

Nah, just hardened brass for me, a colour chain on the other hand could be consider tasteful modification. Laughing

Only if it's gold Wink

That cat is really nice though, shame it's not allowed back on the road. But I bet you'd get a few hundred for selling off the fairings and track prepping it.

I'm downgearing my bike when I go to do the sprockets, probably only 2 up on the rear and standard front, not really sure what sizes are best for R6 for a little bit more acceleration, but don't want to be revving the tits off it for motorway miles etc. Need to get a speedo healer too as don't like the idea of a mis-reading speedo.

Or I could just get some race fairings and paint them gold? Sick

I will sell the fairings if I don't bin it on friday. Laughing

I found 15/49 to be a good combination on the R6. Personally I doubt that ratio effected top speed at all and it deffinately helped with wheelies.

If you get race fairings for it, you simply *have* to paint a big Thundercats logo on it. Cool

Good thinking bendy. Laughing

But wouldn't it be even cooler if I could make it so my headlight projected that symbol? Slightly illegal maybe, but cool non the less.

He did? I must have missed that. Confused

Maybe another time, I'm relying on her letting me sleep in her tent tomorrow night, so probably best not to get her hackles up, don't want her hissing and arching her back. Laughing
