Just thought I would post up a few photos of my winter project.

Came back to bikes last year and decided to bite the bullet and get my full licence.

I opted for a Yamaha XVS650 and found a 1997 model of which not many were made in this livery.

It was in quite a poor state so and the rear shock snapped at the weld that has the bolt connection to the frame.

So decided to revamp the bike.

Frame and rear swing arm has been powder coated, new bearings in rear swing arm, one shock refurbed, new engine parts, all sourced at a keen price.

Now starting to reassemble ready for the summer.

I should have put this post is only for the gays. Razz

I am enjoying rebuilding the bike bike nut by nut. By the time I am finished I will know the bike backwards.

Next on the list is:

Wiring loom.

Carbs

footrests and controls

shiny things

tassles

then lots of lubrication, that should do it. Wink
