Human kind is a disease.
I used to care about the environment, but now I think, fuck it, we're doomed, why keep pretending otherwise, wind down the windows in your gas gasping truck and shit diarrhea all over the planet...
Humans. They're everywhere. And there's too many of them. The Rubicon has been crossed. Everyone knows, theoretically, that there are too many humans, yet no one wants to take the message into their own lives and stop breeding. Because, it's always that there are too many 'others': too many immigrants, too many blacks, too many poor types... fact is, there are too many humans. You. Me. white. Black. Smart. Stupid. The lot. So we say, "yes, I know about overpopulation" but keep on popping out our own mewing, useless children.
Humans are a horrible, destructive, vile creature. We use 'animal' as a displacer to describe our cruelty - 'he's an animal' - but the truth is, no animal could reach our levels of barbarity. We are evil at our heart, sick to the marrow of our bones, capable of acts of insane viciousness and violence, yet we keep on breeding.... thinking we're gods of graciousness.
Breeding like a disease. Human kind is a disease on the planet that can't stop itself.

Pt of the problem is culture.
No one questions child birth. It's taken as a given that it's good. The more babies the better. Everyone parrots 'congratulations' when the news of a new born strikes - even I do - what else to do?
We cannot question the sacrosanctity of human kind. Which is why useless shells - the several disabled - are artificially kept alive, like some sort of grotesque horror experiment, which is hell to them and drain on the rest of us, when they should be allowed to pass. At the other end of the life, the elderly, dead already save for a printing of the certificate, are kept alive for a few months extra in a morbid set up of tubes and round the clock care, as if their life took on extra value with a few extra months propped up by a pillow in a hospital bed. Let people die when they are dead, stop keeping people alive when they are just bags of bones and organs.
If you look at the stats, it's scary, the rate of human growth. When are we going to stop? Are we going to stop? At what point is too much? 10billion, 15billion, 20billion, 25billion? Do we imagine a world with 50billion humans would be a happy place?
Still, it won't affect anyone reading this, so keep on bringing your little Johnnys and Jody's into this wondrously happy and pleasant place called earth. It's a problem for the future.
Child birth is selfish:
For future generations, the earth, over population, etc
For the child - life is actually shit - some say earth is hell for other alien species - propagators saddle the child with this punishment.
People have children for selfish reasons, to bring a little vitality into their otherwise dullard lives, but pass it off as something 'miraculous'.
But does it matter any more? Probably not. The issued has been aired for 50 years and no one has heeded the advice. I would happy dump a car in a penguin sanctuary, or refuse the last, starving polar bear on the planet my pasty, or whatever. We're passed the point of no return.

I was feeling quite chirpy this morning until I remembered Mondeo_man existed.
Oh well, I can cheer myself up with ideas of him being banned from the forum. Ahhh that's better! ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F; Cheap project: CBR900RR FireBlade

Google gives this:
| Quote: | I don't know anything about the claim, but I will do the math for you. Using the square milage you gave for Texas: 1 square mile = 5280 x 5280 square feet = 27,878,400 square feet. So 268,581 square miles = 7,487,608,550,400. For simplicity say 7.5 x 10^12. That divided by 7 x 10^9 is indeed over 1000 square feet per person. So if we made one giant one-story compound over Texas, land, water, and all, we would each get a 1,000 square foot unit. |
The square miles given was 268,581 square miles (land and water) ____________________ I am a bellend, I am a man of constant sorrow, I am a gummy bear, I am a rock. |

Cool, then build a multilevel complex over the whole thing and we can fit everyone in a nice sunny land

Humans are cruel and horrible.
However, what that turtle did to that mouse in Last Post Wins (I don't need to repost it here, just the memory is enough) is perfectly fine and sunshine and rainbows because that's 'nature' and nothing about nature is cruel or horrible! ____________________ Previous: 2002 Honda CB500 (sold), 2007 Suzuki SV650SK6 (crashed), 2005 Yamaha FZ6 Fazer (sold).
