You get what you pay for
Admittedly I haven't used pj1 for exhausts, but have used it for some engine casings. Worked well enough but when you've used something before and know it works then you tend to stick with it if you know what I mean.
I have painted a dr650 downpipe, two jeep grand cherokee cats with the flameproof and it's also on my saab turbo now (inc. the turbo downpipe) and I stand by my choice as I doubt you'll get much hotter than that
Nixon is on the money, make sure you prep it right or whatever you put on will just flake off. ____________________ Check out our tackle shop on Facebook:

I used the silver on the dr exhaust, don't have many clear pictures but I have a short vid when I changed the exhaust round etc. Scan through to 0:21 seconds to see the finish on the header.

Prepped and painted two weeks before the stubby scorpion went on and this was the fourth start up and run up to full temp, with 3 road runs. Still as bright as when it first went on. ____________________ Check out our tackle shop on Facebook:

The term heat resistant paint used for the paints which can sustain high temperature. In your case, you probably need a paint with high emissivity outside, and with low emissivity (radiant barrier coating) inside. Selection of material shall be by considering the compatibility with the car body material and the existing paint.
