What do you routinely wear on your bike? I tend to wear leather trousers and seperate jacket or my one piece leathers.

2-Peice leathers all the time unless it's raining when I wear the textiles I despise (or my old leathers if it's not that bad Very Happy).
I shall be investing in a Fieldsheer summer jacket this year though hopefully.

Only £80 and should save some sweaty days!

Recently I've been wearing leather trousers and a textile jacket (plus the boots and gloves). Got hold of a load of CE armour for the jacket but it still feels no where near as safe as a leather one. Would like to get another leather jacket soon Thinking
/ me goes to 'blag' some freebies

Textile jackets, jeans and heavy winter/armoured gloves.
Once I have my bike test booked, and my new bike lined up, I will shop for full leathers :>

'Textile', that's the word I couldn't remember when I posted this! Rolling Eyes I've just bought a V lightweight textile jacket with 'knox' armour to wear with my leather trousers because I wanted something that would be cooler in the hot weather and wanted something a little more practical when off of the bike.

Wheres the Cordura option? I have a cordura Jacket and I wear Jeans, when I get a bike that can go over 40MPH thats when I will still thinking about leathers.

Side note, was anybody watching Men and Motors earlier, with the man being dragged on the road behind a car with leathers on, but finished virtually unscaved? Smile

Note that a lot of the armour on the knuckle area on gloves can be pretty pointless.

What do you do as soon as you go down? Put your palm flat on the ground.

Nah, but the carbon makes a louder and more intimidating tapping noise on someone's car window after they have cut you up. Very Happy

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

I was looking at one of my mates pairs of gloves after he came off racing, and it looks like the kevlar on the back of his knuckles took a serious hammering and in the end actually protected his knuckles/back of his hand.
