basically the few teeth I have left are rotting, I've never had good teeth
as a kid (13) I had buck teeth and they removed teeth and gave me a brace to try to pull my front teeth back
I had also managed to smash a front top tooth and bottom two side teeth
the top they capped the bottom two were beyond repair so I lost them
the brace lasted less than an hour as I could not bear to have it in my mouth
as I have a very low "gag tolerance" and can't stand any foreign body in my mouth

in my late teens I crashed a bike and smashed 5 teeth in my upper and lower jaw
30 years of coffee (15+ cups per day) and smoking on top of that means I have virtually no whole teeth left

for a few years I have known I need implants as every time I have tried dentures of any type
its been a complete waste as I can not wear then for any more than 30 seconds before I start to gag
that does not stop till I remove them or throw up
I also may need bone reconstruction in my jaw as a result of the crash and subsequent damage done and receding gums

any BCF advice on this subject, from my research it looks like Budapest is the place to go
but it may still cost £3000+ to have full denture implants and take up to 6 months
anywhere in the UK I look at they seem to be quoting for 24 caret gold implants

You may well find the bone in your jaws has degraded beyond the point that implants will be doable, though Budapest will assure you otherwise. The bone degrades where no teeth have been in place for a couple of years or more (my missus had three done, touch & go).
You can have bone/artificial bone grafted on but that puts the price up and there's no guarantee it'll take.

You can pay £3000 a tooth, never mind a full set!

Hetzer is spot on. I have 11 implants due to Hypodontia and its correct that the bone degrades. As part of the treatment I had to have two lots of bone grafting done at the Queen Elizabeth hospital in birmingham which TBH wasn't pleasant, followed by another four hour operation to fit the implants a few months later. In total the work took four years and whilst it was unpleasant to say the least it was definitely worth it as it's had a massive impact upon my life.
Thankfully the NHS paid for the work (due to a congenital condition) which is extremely rare, if I had paid it would of cost the best part of £50,000.
My advice would be to be very wary about having implants done abroad - you'll need a lot of aftercare after grafting and implants.

If I've got this right these are my implants!
