Insurance quote Q

Hi all,

Recently my fiancee crashed my car. Claim was made, her at fault, she is a named driver on my car insurance policy...


Which option do you select when entering fault claims on comparison sites like go compare etc, they all seem to imply it was me driving?

Closest I can see is "accident, driver at fault, no injuries", the other at fault wordings have a similar ring to them and the only alternatives are inaccurate.


Does it make no difference that I was about 200 miles away and probably asleep at the time?

Normally when you're adding someone it asks the same questions about them ? Is she not going on the policy this time ?

That is a tricky one. arry will know the jibba jibba, and I suspect you won't like the answer.

However, I made a considered decision not to list Mrs Borg's rear end shunt (against my car policy) when I took out bike insurance.

Reason: I didn't consider it to be material, in much the same way that they didn't consider my many years of car based NCD to be material.

The jist I got from the long tedious conversation with Carole Nash when I had my CUE database fiasco, is that if your name was on a policy that got claimed against, you may have an entry under your name in the database, i.e. they may think you're "failing to declare".

You could request your info on the CUE database. If there's nothing there for you, say nowt.
