Recently in Central France we had a lot of rain, it seemed to go on for months but this made for some interesting laning...

The sun is finally out and warm enough to go riding.

Trying to get some rear wheel grip in thick mud/cow slurry (makes the bike fragrant)...

Half way through....

Made it on to "dry" land..

Trying to keep legs dry.....

Certainly makes the lanes more challenging!

Looks like very good conditions by British green lane standards! Smile

A lot are under tree cover, so the mud stays for most of the year.

Looks like fun. I imagine my KLE would instantly sink at the first sign of mud like that.

Apparently Kwaks actually do okay in mud, the KLE does seem quite popular on adventure forums in any case, and mine seems to cope.... until the mud depth gets past the chain. Razz

If you consider I was 20kg heavier than I am now when I've had my KTM690 in some muddy stuff and at a time when it had at least 10kg extra on the bike - actually not too much difference to me riding a KLE through mud at my current weight Smile.

Hell, had a zx9r with supercorsas through a muddy green lane and it wasn't THAT bad Smile. (To be fair, not that long and I kept my momentum.)
