Hello there,

So I just did a check of my indcators, brakes etc. and I noticed that when I switch the right side indicators on the rear indicator stays a solid yellow and the front indicator isn't on at all,

Does this mean that I need to get a new indicator bulb for the front one or is it something else? There's nothing in the manual to tell me,

Bike is a 2008 CBR125

Thanks

I'll have to check tomorrow as it's dark now and don't have a light in the garage. If it turns out is is the bulb, do I have to buy motorcycle specific bulbs or can I just buy, for instance, a car indicator bulb of the same wattage?

Thanks

It'll be the bulb.

Replace it with one of the same wattage. Car or bike doesn't matter - wattage does. Thumbs Up

Yeah, it's the bulb. On the CBR125, a blown bulb makes the other indicator illuminate permanently. On other bikes, the other bulb will often flash at twice the speed.

Every time I've blown a bulb, I've just popped in to the local bike shop, popped the bulb out, shown it to the guys, and walked out with a new one for about 50p.

Ok, so turns out it wasn't the bulb. I switched them over and the bulb was working in the other indicator, so I had a look at the wiring and the plug had been disconnected, it seems really flimsy, reconnected it (and taped it to keep it together) and it's working again!

Thanks for the suggestions though, just happy I did this without just going and getting a bulb on the whim.

I'd have bought a bulb anyway - they don't cost a lot of money and it's a useful thing to have in the toolkit. Thumbs Up
