Hi there, been reading a couple of your posts, hope you can help me.

I'm just about to fit a complete 2001 5K mile GPZ500 into my 1993 KLE 500, I'm proposing to keep the KLE carbs & airbox but I'm unsure about the CDi igniter.

The new engine obviously has the later solid magnet flywheel & matched stator & pick ups. I know the GPZ has a different CDi box, its a Mitsibushi unit compared to the Denso unit on the KLE, also the connectors seem different from pictures I've looked at. I only have the KLE one at the moment.

I'm guessing the KLE has a different advance curve to match the GPZ engine ?

How did you get around this ? did you use the GPZ igniter ? Part number 21119-1408 and just lash up the loom to suit ?
