Anyone here going? I'm thinking of going this year and hoping that Randy Blythe doesn't get sent down and Slayer are still together.

Hopefully I will be somewhere the other side of the world from this festival when it happens. 2 years of working it has been MORE than enough for me Laughing

Slayer have a drummer on loan so wouldn't worry about that. L.O.G is more of a worry though. I really want to see them again! (Although they'll borrow a vocalist).

I couldn't bring myself to work at a festival. They're my holidays. Laughing

A lot of the Bloodstock bands are so bad it's funny though. Laughing

I'm not really much of a metal head. I do really like a bit of battle/folk metal but otherwise I'm not much of a fan.

I worked the main stage the last two years (changeovers, backline stuff etc) and I had no idea who half the people were I was talking to. I'd be telling some band where to park their van and someone would be telling me afterwards that I was just talking to the singer of Watain. It all went totally over my head!

Anvil were funny last year. They turned up without any amps as they were travelling light for whatever reason. No biggie, a lot of bands do it and they'd made arrangements to have a few amps ready for them to play through. Every single one of the amps that production had arranged for them had broken Laughing Laughing Luckily Blackstar had a booth backstage for artists to try out their stuff and we got one of their amps at the last minute and they saved the show but it was pretty funny watching Anvil getting really angry at the festival organisers for failing so badly!

Crap lineup this year, going Amsterdam instead. If some super awesome band turns up I might get a day ticket.
