anyone play pc games on a 3d tv in 3d ?

Does the 3D only work on certain games ?

only certain 3d tvs ?

easy to set up or not ?

If i just got any 3d tv and plugged it into any pc, would it do the job with some games ?

Is it really worth doing, or not much better than 2d ?

I've got an nvidia graphics card and a samsung TV, it's doable but involves a rather daunting amount of faffing about. Lots of caveats with 3D as well. It's a gimmick in all honesty, stuff like Arkham City looks cool with it but I wouldn't want to clear the game using it.

My only experience with 3D gaming on a 3D TV was on the PS3. Have to say that playing gran turismo on a 52" screen in 3D with surround sound was rather awesome.

I wouldn't have said it was so good that I would spend much money on setting it up on a PC. Also you have the downside of needing to wear the glasses.

If I could set it up for free... I'd do it as a gimmick but probably not use it. Have to say that we very rarely use the 3D function on the TV.
