I'm after a screw for my camera, it has fallen out at some point and a genuine replacement is £12, which is obscene.

The screw I'm after is 4mm in length and someone between 1mm and 1.8mm in width (too small to measure) it has a fine thread.

Anyone have anything like that or know where to get something like that for a reasonable amount?

I work in an Optician's, loads will sell a screw to you and fix it for a quid, or some free if you're nice.

1.8MM is on the thick side, but there are some and at 4 mm long.

I'll do it for free if you're around Hackney tomorrow.

If you're unsure of the diameter of the screw, how can you describe it as having a fine thread?
