Alright guys it's that time of year again and I'm looking at some quotes, cheapest is about £164 with protected ncb and £150 without, both with max excess..
Bike is worth around £750 and I'm going to go for tpft as it is cheaper than tpo, I have no intention of making a claim if I bin it/stolen as I think losing the ncb and any increased premium's won't make it worthwhile.. Therefore am I right in thinking that I should ramp voluntary excess up as high as possible?
Is excess paid only on claims that I make on my insurance? Not if someone claims against me?

That. I had TPFT come out cheaper than TPO last year by adding a £500 excess on a "not worth claiming" policy. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
