Anyone else getting shit loads of adverts for this horse/pony crap? About 50% of adverts on websites now seems to be for 3's singing dancing horses.

Maybe they should have saved their advertising costs and spent more in trying to keep a reliable service up and running

That's a Shetland pony and the scenery is also Shetland.

<irony>

3 don't have a service on Shetland.

I'm just glad I don't watch TV, apparently they are showing the shit on prime time.

I honestly get a twitch in my eye every time I see one of the banners.

But then I'm just bitter because I've got over a year of their shit internet service to put up with (although I'm seriously considering cancelling the DD)

I don't have any problems with the 3 network but I have a few issues with that CGI Shetland. Smug little bastard.

I like the message of "Silly things matter", cause they do.

But by fuck do I want to chop that fucking moonwalking hay-munching dickpiece up and put it in a burger.
The advert annoys the shit out of me.

Luckily, like you andym, I dont watch TV often and therefore have only seen it a couple of times. But that's a couple of times too many.

I've seen the ad but I couldn't have told you it was for 3 until I read this thread. Congratulations, you are now an unpaid member of 3's marketing department.

What pisses me off is that they text me, a 3 customer, with all their advertising crap.

I would struggle to give less of a fuck about "free internet" advertisements being texted to me so that I can watch a pony dancing, when I already have free internet in my contract! Bah!

Had a real trouble making them clear I wanted to end my 24 month contract with them the other week. Spent 25 minutes of my time trying to make them understand I didn't want a "special deal" as I was a "valued" customer.

Just had to stay calm and battle on. Considering it should have ended anyway without me having to call them, robbing thieving cunts would have continued to charge me on a rolling month basis. Shit network, never again.

I only joined because they were offering the best internet allowance at a low price and the service started off quite good, never had a problem with connections etc.... then a few months down the line they are shit (been with them almost a year now), the connection drops out, the download speeds are terrible (at times, and not peak times either), the signal started strong when I joined, now I get an average of 3 bars...

It just seems they are wasting a lot of money on shit advertising than improving service

I presume this is the ad that I've only ever seen 3 seconds of because it popped up on a youtube vid and I thought, "oh, dancing small horse, skip in 3, 2, 1"

Proud to have never seen it Cool

The reason 3 are spending so much on the advertising campaign is because brand image alone is often what sells a product these days, and there are numerous ways to boost that brand; the current trend just being to make it 'funky' (eg Old Spice advert).

The pony is real, the pony can actually moonwalk, I know where it was filmed, I know where the owners of the pony live, and I know where the pony itself lives.

His name is Socks and he is 7 years old Thumbs Up

They've succeeded making it viral - it's advertising, all they need to do is make people aware good or bad, the very fact you discussing it regardless of seeing it or not means it's a job well done Wink

It's going to new lengths now - mashups Shocked

They've even started showing remix / viral vids too.

P.I.T.A. already!! Evil or Very Mad

Extra publicity I guess, but IMO for all the wrong reasons
