Heh, I just got a job building and maintaining PC's. Qualifications mean jack I'm afraid as there are too many people with them with no real skill or talent for computing.
And starting up your own business is very risky in todays over IT saturated market.
Keep an eye out for junior support positions, which will allow you to work your way up and gain experience very quickly.

Sounds ideal and just what I'm after I think, but what's the pay like? Do you just sit at a desk all day fixing and building PC's?

IMO, with the current conditions of the market and people being laid off, surely this is exactly the wrong time to be starting a business Question
