Right just went for a jaunt on my trusty CG, it started to go dark so switched on my headlight a split second later....it goes pop

switch to high beam...pop

just been reading through older threads, an people mention a ballast resistor fitted behind the headlight.

i aint got one of these or even ever seen one.

anyone know how its wired, an could fitting one cure all my issues?

much love

thanks

Will probably peak about 14.5.

As long as your getting about 12.6 when charged, 13.5 when idling and about 14 when revving, your charging system is most likely fine.

them voltage readings are fine....
you haven't poped any other bulbs... so..

hang the head light by its wires... put in a new bulb... try again switchin the light on... if all works ok... get a magnifying glass and start lookin for a short circuit.

have you fitted anything new or adjusted owt in that area ?

what writin is on the dead bulb ?
