Earlier this week, some twunt reversed into my bike, scuffing the rim, snapping the mudguard and hacking me right off.

When i got on the bike, set off, tried to come to a stop the front brake lever was stiff to use and needed a second squeeze to resume normal service. After that, i noticed the ABS light was flashing and a distinct lack of ABS (stoppies and lock ups). It was a consistant flash and never went off until the ignition was turned off.

Later in the evening, i took the sensor out, gave it a clean, put it back in and set off then the ABS light was normal again.

Fast forward to today, i had a set of tyres fitted and the problem is back. Exactly the same symptoms as before. This time though, cleaning the sensor didnt solve the problem and everything else seems fine no loose wires or bits fallen off that i can see.

Can anyone shed some light on my problem and let me know how to resolve it? Im at Rockingham for a trackday on saturday so need to know if the bike is still ok to ride. Not bothered about not having ABS aslong as its not going to jam my brakes on or something.

Many thanks.

Carlos.

My only thought is it's damaged the sensor or the ABS ring, which should be somewhere near the hub.

if knocked the sensor might be too far away to detect the ring; might be a quick fix but in all likeliness will be a back to Honda job.
