General question really. I took my bike out for an hour today after the winter storage. It ran beautifully but felt a little sluggish but I'm putting that down to needing a service and stale fuel so once iv put some fresh stuff in it should be good.

But.... When I stopped at some traffic lights after about half hour flat out on some bendy country roads it was smoking from front fairing by the rad. I'm sure it's perfectly normal but just wanted to check. Is it supposed to smoke like that when it gets hot. It was quite embarrassing with it smoking and people behind getting out the car to make sure I was ok lol

My bike very heavily steams from the front when it's raining / very wet. It's the downpipes, however was yours steam or proper smoke?

No it was steam really not exactly bellowing smoke or anything so I guess it is normal. It wasn't raining heavily or anything but it was damp in he air and the odd few showers so I guess it's just that.

I've never had a bike that smoked so much from the front that people got out of their cars...

The downpipes let off some steam when the bike warms up from being wet, doesn't sound right to me...

Only ever had bikes steam when the rain's been torrential. Then it steams loads.

Check the coolant level.

Check the coolant and water ratio is mixed 50/50 too (if that's the ratio for the bike) use the turkey baster like tool (anti freeze tester) if you have one Very Happy
