https://www.ebuyer.com

I've had enough of these tossers now, been using them for 7/8 years and in the past year, had a couple of incidents which has fucked me off.

1. Bought a projector for my older brothers birthday last March. We had it all setup but agreed that it wasn't right for the purpose. We sent it back, only to be told there's a 30% restocking fee.

I had to ring up and request to talk to a manager that this was the first time in years that I had an issue with them and 30% of £500 was a hefty price for something that I didn't want or used.

It was some smarmy American/Canadian cunt on the phone telling me there's nothing she can do and that's what I have to pay. I was enraged and told her to shut my account down (of which I had spent stupid amounts of money on).

Fast forward to last night at 9.30pm. I wanted a new HDD and ordered it at 10.09pm with next day delivery £10 and pre noon delivery £1. I needed it for this morning as I had planned to do a load of backing up/shifting things around, whilst I had some time.

I'm waiting for it to arrive and at 1pm, I log on to check that the order is "pick in progress" and hasn't even left ebuyer.com

I send an eNote and say I want a refund of the postage because it's not even been sent and the silly cunts are trying to blame me for the fact that they processed my payment at 6.04am this morning.

This woman is saying I can't have a refund as "we only received payment this morning".

What fucking planet do these fuck wits hail from? I have order acknowledements from 10.11pm last night but not payment processed until 6.04am. It says my delivery is Friday 15th March - Pre Noon, yet the order status is still being picked.

So based on that alone, how can they still sit there saying I can't have a refund because they didn't process the payment until this morning? It's fucking backwards logic from a gang of backwards twats.

The only reason I ever liked ebuyer.com was because of the fact you could order things up to 11pm at night and have them delivered Mon - Fri the next day. I know this because it's what I pay for every time.

This is why i use Ebuyer.com aswell.
But what they have done is not very good customer service.

If they aint arsed about you mate take your business elsewhere.
Dabs.com and Misco.com can be pretty decent.

Standard. Many companies will state in their terms and conditions you do not buy things on a trial basis and if you do need to return the item and it isn't defective you'll have to pay a restocking fee. Had the same thing with novatech.

So you demanded they shut your account down, then made a new account and kept buying things, way to stick it to them! Laughing

https://www.ebuyer.com/help/delivery

Fair enough, it clearly says

Next Working Day
If you order before 6pm. If between 6 and 11 add £1.

Quote that to them, they can't escape that.
Although she is implying the payment didn't go through till the morning, which suggests to me it wasn't processed by your bank at that time, if they didn't receive the payment on the night then it'd make sense why they didn't send it out?

I'd check with your bank when the payment was processed to be super sure

Balls. Long Distance Selling regulations give the purchaser seven days to return an item bought online, for any reason, for a full refund.

The twunts think they're being clever by calling it a "restocking fee" and pretending that it's a completely separate contractual issue from the refund. Which of course it isn't, since they don't issue a full refund and then invoice the "fee" separately, do they?

Still, it sounds like you got beaten up and then went back for more. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again.

This time actually mean it when you ragequit.

The projector incident was a year ago in March. I have not ordered anything from them since but seeing as though it was 10pm last night and nowhere else offers ordering up to 11pm for next day delivery (that I know of), I thought I would use them.

Customer services went quiet after I called her a fuck wit, then 3 hours later, after I got an email to say my order has been despatched, about 10 minutes after that, she replies saying it's too late now the order had been sent.

Fucking cunty cunts.

And Alpha, as Hetz said, distance selling regulations allow me to simply change my mind about any product I buy online and be entitled to a full refund of everything, including postage, within 7 days.

Restocking fee is total shit.

If it was that important why not buy it in a shop?

https://www.maplin.co.uk/2tb-western-digital-green-3.5-inch-hard-drive-retail-box-685923

Including all the postage maplin is £1 cheaper and you could have had it at 9am this morning.

The Maplin one only has a 32Mb cache.
The Ebuyer one has a 64Mb cache.

And no-one goes to maplins because it is overpriced, the drive you linked has £15 off and is still overpriced with a lower spec.

Yep.
Because they will be able to tell you what time the retailer requested the funds.

Have bought a number of things off eBuyer. I won't be buying any more after reading this thread - there's plenty of competitors who don't make a policy of fucking customers about.

And unlike the OP, i do mean it.

No it isn't standard at all. DSR explicitly allows a consumer to buy something online, open the packaging and use the device. DSR actually gives you more rights than when you buy in a shop on the high street.

They purchaser can send it back with no other reason that "I want to" within 7 days. Restocking fees are just there to catch out people who are unaware of their rights.

Had a similar experience.

One was for a surround sound system, when I checked they had 38 in stock, ordered, paid for it, money goes out of my account, to then receive an email saying there were none in stock, took several days for me to be refunded.

Only two weeks later I ordered a 1TB hdd, paid for next day delivery, ordered about half hour before the cut off time. Sure enough it wasn't until the next day afternoon it was even processed and packed, I got it like two days later.

Shower of cunts they can fuck off from now on.

Cunts Ghostrider, cunts everywhere.

Customer services are ignoring me now. Parcel Force tracking says "in progress", so probably turn up Monday, 2 days after it was supposed to.

They can get to fuck, normally I wouldn't arse about £11 but it's the cuntyness of them that's annoyed me.

Refuse delivery of it / be out at the time and never collect it, it'll then go back to them and you never received it.

refund and no re-stocking fee since it was never in your possession.

I accepted the order because why should I be put out by them even more than they already have? I actually needed the other item on Monday and it turned up before noon.

In the meantime, I sent this via an e-note:

Quote:
Regardless of security checks, new accounts, whatever. Fact is, I paid for
next day delivery, to have it delivered on Friday 15th March AS STATED IN
CONFORMATION EMAILS FROM EBUYER.

It is not down to me that your systems prevented me from getting WHAT I
PAID FOR. It's too late now, it's been sent to me. I wanted them anyway
but I also wanted to cancel the order if they hadn't been sent out
already, which you inform me, was too far along the process.

Regardless, how you can sit there and still say that I can't have my money
back for the next day postage is beyond me. It's absolute thievery.

Why the hell should I pay for a premium delivery service and get it 2/3
days later like a normal super saver?

I WANT MY POSTAGE MONEY BACK. Whether it be the difference for what it
would have cost to send out 2 days or not. I'm not Paying £10/£11 for it
to have NOT BEEN DELIVERED THE NEXT DAY.

I don't care what you have to do, I'm not being conned out of money
because of your stupid policies.

I COULD'VE QUITE EASILY ORDERED THIS FROM SCAN.CO.UK OR DABS OR ANY OF THE
OTHER COMPANIES OUT THERE, AND HAD IT DELIVERED THE NEXT DAY, AS I PAID
FOR.

I do not give a toss about your policies, I want the postage money back.

To which eGayer replied:

Quote:
Dear *********,

Thank you for your response.

As a goodwill gesture on this occasion we will refund the next day
surcharge but advise that our policies are available online and we request
that customers refer to these carefully before placing any order.
Submission of an order is an acceptance of these.

Kind Regards,

Sarah

I think that went rather well considering I called her a fuckwit 2 e-notes ago.

I haven't read all the posts but Hetzer's is on the money.

It would appear they are not compliant with distance selling regs.

I'd send an email off to the Citizens Advice (who handle consumer stuff now) and they should pass it onto Trading Standards.

Can't be fucked with all that, they've refunded the postage. Even if they point blank refused, I still wouldn't have arsed, got bored of it after several e-notes and wasting my time.

Imho both are your fault really.

1) Bought something without knowing it was suitable. If its a pair of shoes or clothing then fair enough but a piece of electrical equipment? Nah....theres enoughphotos...specs....dimensions on the internet.

2) sorry...but ordering something so urgent at gone 10pm for delivery next day is imho crazy. ..yeah, they may quote some shite say you can order up to 11pm...but you cant order that late and 100% expect it next day. At that time of night anything can happen to delay an order.

Its shite customer service from Ebuyer...but a lot of your issues could have been prevented with a little bit of thought.
