Really need some feedback on custom pit bike insurance, Its a fym 125 road legal pit bike fitted with a 2rk TZR 125 engine with 26mm Mikuni carb, ram air filter, carbon reeds,Custom arrow exhaust, with many more add on's, its currently on eBay just to see how much i get offered, heres the link so you can see full spec,

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/One-Off-Road-Legal-TZR-125-Pit-bike-Must-See-PRICE-DROP-/121135729613?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item1c34408bcd

I am not to fussed if the insurance is expensive as long as its not a stupid amount. i am aware that its going to be a lot but cant find any suitable bike insurers.

If anyone has any feedback that would be great, even better if you have insured a road legal pit bike..

Thanks![/url]

Int that a kids bike?

You will look like one of those clowns that ride tiny bikes round!

Just get a proper one and you will be seen by other motorists too!

They should be banned them things!

Find an insurer that will issue policies for heavily modified motorcycles and ring them for a quote, can only take 15 mins. Prepare an email so you them a link to the advert while your on the phone as them seeing it may help speed things up.

Having insured heavily modified bikes in the past it's not expensive at all, even with frame modifications, the insurers were more concerned about the quality of the work carried out rather than what it was.

Why did you write in your eBay ad that it is 'cheap to insure' when you don't have a clue? Confused

Try adrian flux mate. Their bikesure division specialise in custom policies for a lot of custom/performance vehicles.

Not sure id recommend riding one on road though cars may struggle to notice you being such a small road prescence Confused

Its tightned now but was a little slack Laughing

Cheers for comments below, mountings are really well made and id have no worrys with sending the insurance company pictures as evidence.

Powervalve was opened today for first time. Low down power is good and useable but when powervalve kicks in its great!

Bikesure cover me on my road legal stomp. Can't see why they wouldn't hook you up if you've got a V5
