Dear all;

I have just bought a second hand CBF125, I am a back to biking biker grey haired wonder - it was been quite hot today and I have noticed a slight leak from a pipe down by the centre stand as it is now cooler it has seemed to stop is this normal ? I am assuming it is some kind of expansion pipe..

thanks very much

Ask in the Workshop section, this one is for biking news (like law changes) and biking issues (things that all bikers face) not individual biking issues - if you catch my drift.

They're very helpful in there. I seem to remember, while I was laying on the ground with a broken leg, watching the guy pick up my bike a load of fuel coming out of the overflow pipe. I suspect this is what it is, though my mechanical capability stretches to cleaning my chain.

Scratch-and-sniff.

Smells of petrol = might be an issue.

Feels watery and slippery and smells of oil = crankcase breather, ride and enjoy.

However, do keep an eye on the oil level, they're known for burning through their oil between service intervals and seizing.
