I just got one of these.. (from ebay)

it came with two approx. 12 inch by 4 inch long bits of armour, with 4 screws. Can't figure out what they are for, any ideas? |

They are great as you can just wear an MX shirt over the top. Much cooler.
I think hard armour works well at low speed impact as it resist the impact. But at speed if it fails you get the hit. Soft armour spreads the impact.
so I figure MX at relatively low speed, MX hard armour better and cooler. At road speeds, textiles and soft armour.

leather too firkin hot, heavy, gets too dirty, and if wet, then you weigh more than Miss Fatty KFC.

collar bone braces ? supposed to stop it poking through your skin if you snap it i believe, horrible image so threw mine to the back of the garage... almost always my ribs or shoulder that get destroyed when i come off anyway. ____________________ https://www.youtube.com/danmoto73

yeah that's it, I put them on but if they annoy I will remove, I don't travel at fast speeds, but do fall off a fair bit, usually left knee and left arm/side hit the ground. I have kneed pads now too.  |
