How is your bike wardrobe stocked... Do you have a winter range and summer range?

I'm finding the jacket and trousers i got in Jan are getting to not in this weather as they dont have a removeable lining so i'm thinking of swapping to a set that do so i can use in winter and summer. Will taking the lining out be cool enough for summer or should i fork out a lightweight range?

Good to see another all-season biker! You could try wearing shorts and a t shirt under textile gear, the days when its that hot are pretty rare imo.

i have 1 textile jacket that has a zip out liner, in winter I wear a thermal fleece under it in summer no liner and a t shirt.
i have lined textile trousers with a zip out inner that I also use under my kevlar jeans in winter, but I also just wear thermals under them in the cold of spring/autumn. so both pairs of trousers can be worn all year round.
also winter gloves were still in use until last week!
so 1 good jacket, 2 pairs of keks, 2 pairs of gloves. thermals and a couple of neck tubes has sorted me for all year.
Thumbs Up

My first/second year I just wore a leather jacket (tshirt underneath), same thin gloves I've got now; also a variety of cordura trousers/jeans and leather trousers.

My BLJ is my main jacket when its raining, although I have recently got an orange Alpinestar jacket that is going to be used for the warmer southern weather.

Waterproof thermal thick winter textile trousers and jacket, with removeable liner for the harsh wet weather. Lighter textile jacket for less harsh/dry weather mainly for commuting and high viz too. Leather frank Tomas trousers(£14 ebay) for less harsh commuting. Winter gloves. Touring boots, waterproof. Flip front helmet with sun visor also.

Two piece leathers for pleasure riding/weekends. Arai helmet and light/summer gloves.

I have waterproof touring boots for commuting and also use them with my 'clean' gear but going to invest in some new boots soon. I have base layers that I use with the clean gear.

It's well worth getting good clothing that keeps you warm if you need or cool if you need. I can recommend the frank Tomas lined leather trousers they don't seem to make you hot and also keep you warm if it's cold. My two piece isn't very warm at all but I find a neck tube stops the wind down the neck of the jacket which improves comfort a lot and the base layers with the addition of a body warmer if required helps.

I really hate being uncomfortable and find that I ride better if I'm at a nice temperature under the clothing.

I only wear t shirt under jacket and nothing under trousers as it is. Will defo have to try some with a removable liner then to see if i can use all uear round. I did get some of the Aldi kevlar jeans but wont be great in the wet.

Cheap thermals from primark etc will make a big difference and are barely noticable as being an extra layer Thumbs Up i use thermal ski-glove liners inside my wintergloves too when its especially cold.

I wear exactly the same crap all year round - but less of it, if that makes any sense. Which it doesn't. So howsabout I explain. Uhm - I just mean I put more layers beneath my clobber - faithful spada macna jacket, and lined karriemore keks. Aldi boots. Ancient totally knackered £15 gloves - so warm, these. Be sad to see 'em go, but they really are fucked now. Wish I could get some more but I went back to the local suzuki dealer where I got 'em and they'd all gone. Crying or Very sad

Most of my wardrobe is bike gear.

Merino base layers.
Waterproof and thermal socks.

Cordura trousers with removable lining.
Leather trousers.
3 x kevlar lined jeans, 2 of which are black and used as business casual office wear.

Big heavy orange RST cordura jacket.
Short, light yellow cordura jacket.
Lightweight leather-and-cordura mix jacket.
BLJ.

Zoidberg Mitts
Lined gloves.
Unlined summer gloves.

4 helmets for various moods and purposes.

4 kinds of neck tube.

2 piece pack-away waterproofs.
1 piece rainsuit.

And that's just what I can recall off the top of my head.

There's no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes.

Well, except snow, black ice and high winds. Then there is such a thing as bad weather. Whistle
