Any chance you can go back to school and learn a bit of punctuation?

The cdi mod does nothing for peak power. It removes a massive flat spot between 4750rpm to 6000rpm where as standard there is a massive amount of ignition retard. It does nothing outside that rev range.

Modifying the exhaust will help a little, but without fitting a power valve (or at least chopping the restricted one down) the difference will be minimal.

All the best

Keith

Can you actually talk like that? One long inhale and then spitting out all those words at one exhale? Impressive, if so. Thumbs Up

Does it have a working power valve, with control unit, solonoid, etc? If so make sure it is clean and free to move (and the right way up).

If it has the blanking plate then you can remove this, machine a bit from the end (~5mm), drill and tap the screw hole again and put back in so the chamfered end is flush with the roof of the exhaust port. This will give you the top end power of having a power valve just with stuff all at low revs.

The power valve doesn't so much give you top end power, rather allows so bottom end power to be salvaged when the exhaust port, etc, is set up for decent peak power.

All the best

Keith

Yea it's a working one connected to solonoid. I cleaned and replaced the seals on it when I rebuilt the top end.

Thanks

Hi

In which case, sort the exhaust (or replace with a decent one), use a colder plug and adjust the jetting maybe (rich is safe, so jet up a bit to check it is ok, then work down).

All the best

Keith
