hi
basically im having a bit of a problem with my high headlight, it doesnt work. the day light ( the little bulb one) works fine. when i'm using the passing switch than the high headlight works so i think the bulb is not busted.
i just checked and fuses seems to be fine as well..
any ideas of where else to check?
any advise will be much appreciated
regards
daniel

Am I reading this correct. Side light (Small bulb) works
High Beam (Pass) Works
Beam (Light On) No work

The bulb is gone. It has two filaments inside.

look for a loose connector or corroded block connector/bad wire first. then......corroded switch terminals, the springs and contacts, especially on higher power lines, like starter/headlights corroded quicker.

You could first check the headlamp bulb base, for corrosion, then the fitting.Connecting a bulb (any 12v bulb) to the appropiate high beam wire ,turn on ignition and see if power is reaching it from the normal main headlamp switch.flick to high beam and check .You can use a multimeter set to 12 volt d.c...

thanks..
i checked the base of the bulb earlier.. theres not much corrosion on the bike..
i had a new tensioner fitted in.. was thinking maybe the mechanic disconnected something when he was moving the tank.. he forgot to connect the petrol gauge as well..
