Gilera DNA 125

Hi am new to the forum... I have a Gilera dna 125 2002. Am having problems with it starting, I thinking its something to do with the carb, after cleaning it changing the petrol filter it still does not start.. Previous to this it was starting and but would die when you pulled the throttle, can anyone help or give me some advice... Also I broke where the coolant tube comes from the thermostat housing to the carb could this cause it not to start???

you may have an air lock in the fuel system,if poss drain the carb to check that fuel is reaching the carb,and check the 'cleaned filter' if its a foam...wash in parrafin type....is'nt damp ,as this will make the carb run superich and flood it.

Chances are the auto choke is shot, test it and if needed replace it.

Cheers.. Shall have a look, I have also broken my thermostat housing not the whole thing just where the coolant goes into the carb, could this cause it not to start

you'd need to find a diagram of the carb and thermostat to see if it has a cut out circuit,if its not leaking then it may still be ok...
