hi guys i've been trying to get my front brake bled on my ns 125 r but it doesnt seem to work, it worked originally but when i got it the lever had snapped so i changed it and put a different resivior on it and changed the caliper as the original the bleed screw had rusted solid but the other caliper didnt want to budge at all. so put the other one on and now this doesnt work, i've tried bleeding it and left it a while with oil in the system but still no joy, does anyone have any ideas at all? sorry for the essay, ____________________ currently rebuilding a Honda NS125RL selling a baotian bt49 qt-9 |

any caliper with seized/corroded pistons wont help.Stick with a matching caliper and master cyclinder and be carefull with replacement levers....they vary a bit as regards pushing the master cylinder/braqke light switch fitting.
when you say 'do not work'
do you mean they are not pumping hard?
the reservoir caps have a tiny pressure valve, like breathers in olde petrol tanks to prevent a vacum, make sure its clear, and if you've allowed the master cyclinder to get really low when pumping/bleeding then you've wasted your time, and fluid,as ANY air bubble means filling up the reservoir and starting again.
You could get the old bleed nipple drilled out and replaced by local enginerr. ____________________ nearly a normal tax paying tosser.......with ferrileness suzi100,cg125,cb125scb100n,cb175,cd100,cj250t,kh250,c15,125 bantam, super 6,rickman gs750,xt500,250rs,dt175,lifan125,dolomite1850,metro,Morris220ld,morrisfg,leyland princess, range rover, corsa,vw camper .now struggling with legs. yeah i've had a look and the master cylinder seems to have all the parts moving ok and looks to be pumping the oil through but never gets any resistance,
I havent allowed the fluid to get low as have kept it topped up just to make sure, i bought a banjo bolt with a bleed screw built in, in the end but now the bleed screww has snapped on that so i now need a new one of them lol
would this be any good to help me bleed the brakes at all?

all the bleed kit does is add a non return valve and a bit of plastic really.
My routine is this
Partially unscrew ressy cap,
pump lever 3 - 6 times,
HOLD LEVER ON then TINY unscrew banjo bolt to release,fluid/air/piss.
the moment the lever starts softening retighten the banjo bokt,
repeat a few times...gauging how much the resorvoir needs refilling by how much is pissing out the banjo.
On some calipers its nigh impossible to get the air out if the bleed nipple is corroded in,as air can collect in the nipple and sometimes cant be drained through the banjo. ____________________ nearly a normal tax paying tosser.......with ferrileness suzi100,cg125,cb125scb100n,cb175,cd100,cj250t,kh250,c15,125 bantam, super 6,rickman gs750,xt500,250rs,dt175,lifan125,dolomite1850,metro,Morris220ld,morrisfg,leyland princess, range rover, corsa,vw camper .now struggling with legs.
