Currently got Chinese mixed match tires on the Cg125 however today caught a large nail, making me have it repaired £11 with new inner tube.

Got a feeling it won't last that long and the tires aren't that good anyway. So what would wise BCF suggest I replace them with Question

Sorry. I forgot one caveat; 'not Chinese'. Over and above that, what does it matter it they are purely for commuting?

Several posts say Pilot Sporty's are good.

I've got Metzeler ME22 on a clone of a YBR125. Very happy so far.

I'd personally go for the Metzeler. The sporty's are expensive.

Regarding the why does it matter, personally If I'm replacing tires I don't want to throw money away and get some crap tyres with low grip in bad weather.

Thank you for the reply, I've just looked at sporty and can get them at £112 a pair or the me22 at £40 each. Not bad.

I've got trail wings on my varadero

seem to have enough grip for a 125 and seem to last long enough.

same here, do much better than the 'cheng shin' tyres mine came with, can't think why someone would use them, price difference is about a tenner per tyre
