Any way to check the category at which the bike was written off? Rolling Eyes

Ask the owner for the engineers report? I got one which said what category it was.

Other than that, HPI check I guess.

Ah well just paid the £20 for a complete HPI, just curious as to why I couldn't tax it online. Thought it might be Cat B but turns out its only Cat D.

Weird how I can't tax it online though.

Its <3 years old so no MOT yet.
Cat D but DVLA say..

Your insurers didn't ask for you to re-MOT it?

Edit: To show that bike is roadworthy after the writing off I mean. Dunno how this would affect the DVLA and being able to tax it though...

I'd hope that's just because it was sold to a 'dealer'.

There's no chance that it was reported to the DVLA as 'scrapped' was it? Thinking

I have the full V5, so it hasn't been sent off.

It isn't in my name... yet.

Do you have the V5? or just the green slip? in not pop into the post office if you can.
