Hey guys,

I'm considering buying a zzr1400 and was wondering if any of you have any experience of this bike (current model 12>) .

What I'm hoping this bike will deliver and if the reviews are correct, it should be a fun weekend bike, an excellent tourer and a usefull big distance commuter.

If I was ten years older I'd probably go for a GTR1400 or a big bmw but I just can't bring myself to consider one of those despite knowing what wonderful bikes they are.

I'm sure the ZZR can be the jack of all trades I'm looking for and with the added kudos of being one of the quickest bikes around!

Thumbs Up

Friend has one, felt surprisingly light when I had a go. Very good bike, he loves it.

I have had two of them and they are very capable bikes.

The latest version should be even better judging by the mods that have been made.

I doubt you'll be disappointed, I doubt a lot of people will keep up Smile

NIce bike, I test rode one but went for the K1300S instead as I liked the auto suspension adjustment and shaft drive (no faffing with chain oil / tightening etc).

There's a thread in Biker Banter on Pistonheads by black-k1 deciding whether to go for a ZZR1400 or a K1300S with loads of comments (the vote was 51% K13S, 49% ZZR14).

Thanks guys,

I'd not really considered the K1300, I think I'll go and have a look at one, though the price is a bit more and more again if you add any extra's. A kawa dealer I know is offering a free performance upgrade to the standard SE so £11899 all in.

I don't really think you can go wrong at this end of the market, all the bikes are fantastic.

My only comment is that I sat on one last year at the NEC show. Felt a really comfortable riding position and made me think seriously about buying one. Thumbs Up
