Well today I found out that the guy im getting the RS off can't actually deliver it until NEXT wednesday, even though he promised it'd be here by the end of the week....

I have about 1600 quid to spend, do i wait it out for the RS, or do I take my full test now and get a bike for about 1200?

I would do the full test. I wasted a lot of money on my RS 125, it was fun whilst I had it but not suitable for taking bike lessons on or doing stuff like U turns on which were virtually impossible, I managed to do one once. I sold it and got my test sorted but because I'd spent so much on the RS couldn't afford a bike that I really wanted straight away, all sorted now though but still wish I never bought the RS. A Nice 33BHP Suzuki GS500E, build ya confidence u nicely and after 2 years you would have hardly spent a bean on it (cos there so reliable and cheap to run) you'll have enough money for something bigger and faster now your restrictions up!

You could get yourself a nice sports 400 for £1200, as for 33bhp restriction we've talked about this many times.

/me looks at 33bhp restrictors on the shelf Thinking

Insurance on a Sports 400 would be alot more, I suggested the GS cos its the same Insurance Group as the RS125, both being Group 7 Very Happy

Take your test, get a GS500E.
The more people who have one the better, they are win :>
And cheap to buy/insure/run.
And if looked after they will not lose too much value.

GPZ500S is a brilliant wee bike for once you get your test. A shedload faster than a 125 but probably not quite enough to just spit you off.
