Spent this morning beating a seized centre stand pivot out of a Deauville, even had to use a Map gas torch to free it off. So seized it bent the mounts an inch to one side.

All back together now, greased and free moving now.

Rode it - for the 3rd time this year. Some things are apparent.

1. Seat is still too hard.
2. Front end too harsh
3. It's still dead easy to ride.
4. Round brake discs are good.
5. Round tyre is also good.
6. I'd forgotten how fecking quick it is!

I am definitely NOT bike fit - only done 200 miles in this year Sad

Discovered a useful thing. Aerosols that are empty of propellant can be recharged by squirting propellant into them. Air dusters are pure propellant, and have a bigger tube that fits over, like they were designed for the purpose. I recharged many cans.

Sorry if I missed something, wasn't it just indicators and a belt? Belt granted not a clue on doing it but indicators can be replaced in their entirety in about an hour.

If you're brave enough a compressor can put a bit of life in them too with step down adaptors.

Put new 9Nm springs in the forks of the CBR, new OEM oil seals (last pyramid parts set only lasted 18 months) and 10w oil.

Took her for a spin, nice and firm better under heavy braking but now it shows the rear end is lacking.

Got the TLR ready for MOT in the morning.
Fitted legal plate
Lubed everything
Checked everything
Realised It has only covered 600 miles in 2 years, 150 of which were done by fret.

Ordered new pads for the Busa, its eaten a set of fronts in 1500 miles the fat fuck.

I do a similar thing with my fuel tank. When it's empty of fuel, I put more fuel in it. I think it could catch on with more people once they realise. Laughing

All I've done with my bike today is install a new alarm, given it a minor service, and given it a good "Italian Tuneup" for an hour. Cool

New front pads. Calipers look popping after a proper clean. Fixed front indicator. Tested battery and charging system.. a little miffed but fingers crossed it's fixed.

I rescued it from the stupid idiot garage it was in.
Then I fucking well rode the tits off it.

Still needs some sort of tweaking of the indicator wiring - and a new drive belt.
But I can currently menace all and sundry once again.

Woot.
Cool

Gave the viffer a good de-cobwebbing. Old girl's got used to the 4 mile commute to work, so we popped over the border to remind her that she can still move for an old girl.

Got home, and fettled what I could on the 125 while waiting for other parts.
Oil change, Oil strainer clean and a new filter. and it needed it. Was fucking manky.

VHT'd the exhaust. It's solid enough and came out without a fight, but it'll last longer like this.
https://i.imgur.com/1A74kz3l.jpg

I was going to change the pads, but given the state of the calipers and discs they'll wait until new ones arrive.

Gave it a wash. Other half approves of it. We may yet get her on 2 wheels.

Attacked some of the many jobs on the 125 today. A previous owner was a total cock gobbler and bodged the shit out of everything. Replacement chain and sprockets were all JT.

Removed the hilariously fucked rear sprocket. Not pictured are the lugs that have been cut down and mangled nuts and retaining washers. Front sprocket was "holyshitwhattheactualfuck" tight, but now replaced.

Sparkplug was A) Rusty, B) Handtight, and C) Not the correct one D) Sooty as all fuck. Right is the removed one, left is the correct spec one.

I also had hoses made up from the hardline remains for the GSX.

Connecting the twins to TuneEcu, via the OBD2s.

Copied the map (20261) from ST2 over to ST1 in the hope it would eliminate the snatchy throttle. It didn't.

Also, tried to get to grips with and completely understand TuneEcu so i could start tweaking the map for when the SP Engineering cans go on ST1. I didn't.

Pretty sure that all those numbers mean something. Confused

Have you tried turning off O2 sensors?
My RC8 was smooth as butter with them turned off but the fuel economy is horrendous.

Genuinely amazed it managed to pull me down the street on the single test ride it's had.

It's all neglect, but at the core, I reckon it's a decent little bike. Should do nicely for commuting duties if the missus decides 2 heels are not for her.
