Yeah, I think Tankie is onto something I'm looking at dashboard bulbs and the buzzwords seem to be T3, T4, T4.7, T5, etc. (T for twist I assume) bet it'll be one of those ____________________ Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Yamaha XSR700, Honda Rebel, Yamaha DT175, Suzuki SV650 (loan) Fazer 600, Keeway Superlight 125, 50cc turd scooter |

You Sir win the microwave, would you like to play for the fridge-freezer?
Written down in the workshop book (which fails to name the bulb type, neither does Haynes). Thanks you've saved me a few quid next time. |
I'm actually a bit disappointed in myself, back when I was running spares shops, I could've given you the entire generic part number for your particular fitting off the top of my head, but with age comes senility, or as I prefer to call it, a reduced nerd quotient.
Just put '509 bulb' into the search engine of your choice and a suitable picture will appear. ____________________ Things get better with age; I'm close to being magnificent........

Took the Honley RX3 out of the garage.
After 8 months of sitting there , it started first time .
Ran it for 20 minutes , rode around the driveway for 5 minutes.
Blew the dust off it ready to go back into the garage until I get time to use it after Christmas.

Swapped the (4th gen) Viffers forks out for 3rd gen spares so I can do the seals on the Gen 4 ones. Remarkably trouble free.

The dust seals are properly toast, but the oil seals seem to be doing their job... might as well do both while I'm at it.

Swapped back to the boring can as I need to leave at 05:30 for a while, and while my neighbours don't currently care about the can, they would at that time. Also cleaned her, she was filthier than a pricey hooker. ____________________ '98 VFR800 (touring) - '12 VFR800 Crosrunner (Commuting) - '01 KDX220 (Big Green Antisocial Machine) |

Well he came and Dremelled it off.
Very skilful job.
Didn't even cut through the handlebar thingies.
Handy chap, that one.
